Why you should update your devices!

Updating your operating system may seem like a hassle, but it's a critical step in protecting your device from cyberattacks and keeping it performing at its best. Here's a closer look at why software updates are essential.

Protect your data

Nowadays, we store our whole lives on our mobile devices; we contain all our personal information, from emails to bank account information. Now even our smart watches contain our bank credentials. All of this is highly valuable to cybercriminals and is easily obtainable if there's a flaw in outdated devices.

So be sure to be on top of updating your device's software and operating systems.

Patch Security Flaws

Cybercriminals love nothing more than software vulnerabilities, which is a weakness found in a software program or operating system. Cybercriminals will use this advantage and write code to target the vulnerability.

Thus, some updates may include software updates to cover weaknesses and keep cybercriminals out.
